Good afternoon! My name is Jiaxuan, and I am a graduate student majoring in International Chinese Language Education. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in this field. Five years ago, when I was a freshman, I developed a strong interest in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. After graduating from university, I had the opportunity to work as a Chinese language teacher at a language school, where I gained valuable experience. One of the most memorable experiences for me was teaching my first student, a Russian girl. When she first arrived in China, she couldn’t speak a word of Chinese and relied entirely on a translation application to communicate. I began teaching her from Pinyin, and over time, she became fluent in discussing many topics. She loved China more and more—she enjoyed riding shared bikes, using Didi, buying things on Taobao, and booking tickets through WeChat. She even praised China as a fascinating country. My students' progress in their Chinese learning journey really deepened my passion for teaching. The experience was magical for me, and it significantly enhanced my teaching skills. Now, as a master student, I continue to explore this field with great enthusiasm. I am deeply passionate about promoting the Chinese language and culture. I look forward to continuing to learn and grow in this profession.
